Holidays & Payment Processing Times

What processing times do we observe.

Zazu operates on all business days in Morocco. Here’s what to expect:

Regular business day

• Standard bank transactions (GSIMT) are processed same-day if made before XX
• Mobile money transfers are available immediately during business hours, unless they are flagged for review.

Public holidays

On any observed Moroccan public holiday no transfers are processed that day. You may initiate a transfer, but it will only be processed on the next business day. Here is a list of key public holidays in Morocco:

  • 31 March – Eid al-Fitr

  • 1 May – Labour Day

  • 6 June – Eid al-Adha

  • 26 June – Islamic New Year

  • 30 July – Throne Day

  • 14 August – Oued Ed-Dahab Day

  • 20 August – Revolution Day of the King & the People

  • 21 August – Youth Day

  • 5 September – Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid)

  • 6 November – Green March Day

  • 18 November – Independence Day

2026

  • 1 January – New Year’s Day

  • 11 January – Independence Manifesto Day

  • 20 March – Eid al-Fitr

  • 1 May – Labour Day

  • 27 May – Eid al-Adha

  • 16/17 June – Islamic New Year

  • 30 July – Throne Day

  • 14 August – Oued Ed-Dahab Day

  • 20 August – Revolution Day

  • 21 August – Youth Day

  • 25/26 August – Prophet’s Birthday

  • 6 November – Green March Day

  • 18 November – Independence Day
