Zazu operates on all business days in South Africa. Here’s what to expect:

Zazu offers three EFT processing options:

Same-Day EFT - for transactions intended to settle the same day, processed 08:00–15:00 on weekdays and 08:00–10:00 on Saturdays

Two-Day EFT - for transactions scheduled to settle two days after initiation, processed 08:00–15:00 on weekdays and 08:00–10:00 on Saturdays

Dated EFT - for transactions scheduled to settle on a specified future date, processed 08:00–16:00 on weekdays and 08:00–10:00 on Saturdays

No EFT processing occurs on Sundays or public holidays.

RTC transactions are available immediately during business hours, unless they are flagged for review.

On any observed South African public holiday no transfers are processed that day. You may initiate a transfer, but it will only be processed on the next business day. Here is a list of key public holidays in South Africa:

National Women's Day – Monday, 10 August (observed, 9 Aug falls on Sunday)

Day of Reconciliation – Wednesday, 16 December

Day of Goodwill – Saturday, 26 December

Human Rights Day – Monday, 22 March (observed, 21 Mar falls on Sunday)
